The B Sharps is a group of 5 talented and experienced musicians with both female and male vocals that have played various types of music and events for over 20 plus years. We approach every event with energy, confidence and professionalism. Our love for what we do is evident in our performance

We play because we love to entertain, and we love working together as a group. We don’t use a laptop or tracks to play along with karaoke-like music, our performance is 100% live because that’s our passion. We just love playing music

That means we will listen carefully to you and your requirements and can make recommendations to ensure that the music section of your day will go smoothly.  We also understand that some events showcase the entertainment, while others simply require the right musical backdrop. We can tailor our set and performance to suit any event or venue. The B Sharps create a perfect, uplifting party atmosphere by delivering fantastic sets of dance floor classics all night long!

Here we have answered some of the more frequent questions we get asked. If you cannot find an answer to your question here please contact us directly, from there we will be able to give you the information you need.

How long do you perform for? 

In total we perform for 2.5 hours not including a break when the hotel serves refreshments.

Will you travel nationwide? 

Yes. We regularly play venues in all parts of Ireland.

Do you provide all of the required audio and lighting equipment?

Yes. Absolutely! We provide full professional back-line and PA. We also provide our own lighting. It’s all included in the price! 

How much time is required to set up? 

We can be fully set up and ready to go in 60 minutes.

Can you set up before the meal?

Although in most cases this is not necessary, we can be set up before the meal if that is what is desired. 

Can we be sure that the band will not play too loud?

As professional musicians, experienced in playing venues of various sizes, we always take this into account when setting the volume level for the show. We appropriately adjust and maintain our sound throughout the course of the evening.

Can we decide the set-list?

It’s your night and we welcome suggestions for songs that you like or don’t like, and will create a set-list for your night that fits in with the atmosphere you want to create. Based on our professional experience, we will of course recommend a set that will keep the dance floor filled all night.

Can we choose the first dance songs?

You can choose your first dance to be played by the band. If the song is new to us we would require at least 2 months’ notice in order to be sure to do your first dance song justice.

We also offer playing an original recording through the PA if you’d prefer. For playing a recording, we would just need 7 days’ notice as to the song, just so that we can source it and make sure it’s on our system.

Do you play waltzes?

That is up to you. We have them in our available set-list and normally play a few waltzes. We can leave them out if you desire.

Can you provide a DJ?

Yes. We work with a full time professional Wedding DJ

How long does the DJ play for? 

The DJ will play for approx. 2.5 hours. (Venue permitting)

Can I pick the playlist for the DJ?

Yes, the DJ encourages you to give him a list of songs you like, so that he may incorporate them into the playlist.

How do you dress for the function?

We dress appropriately for the occasion. For example at a wedding we would wear all black with a splash of colour.

Do you require a deposit?

We require a 10% deposit to secure the date. Until the deposit has been paid, we cannot guarantee your date.

What is the next step after I pay my deposit?

Once the deposit is received, your date is confirmed and a booking receipt will be issued to you
